“Would be a huge signing for United”…Ten Hagh’s final puzzle
Gabriel Agbonlahor, formerly of Aston Villa, has recommended Sofiane Amrabat (26-Piortina) to Manchester United.
Manchester United won their opening match of the 2023-24 English Premier League (EPL) season 1-0 against Wolverhampton at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, on Friday (Sept. 15). Raphael Varane’s header in the 30th minute of the second half proved to be the game-winner as we kicked off the season with a win.
The result was a win, but the performance was far from satisfactory. The Red Devils’ sharp counter-attacks and quick attacks left them vulnerable on several occasions.
Poor organization in the middle of the park was a problem. For the first time, United manager Van Gaal went with a midfield of Kasemir, Mason Mount, and Bruno Fernandes. Casemiro, Fernandez, and newcomer Mount worked well together, but the offense was disjointed, allowing Wolverhampton to easily create space.
In the meantime, Agbonlahor praised Amrabat in the UK’s Football Insider. “Amrabat would be a massive signing for United. He is the final piece of the midfield puzzle and must be brought in. Casemiro is in his 30s and we need to find a replacement for him.” 안전놀이터
Amrabat’s mobility makes him an excellent defender and his passing ability allows him to build from the back. He anchored Morocco’s midfield at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. United have been linked with Amrabat repeatedly this summer as they look to revamp their midfield.
Recently, the possibility of a deal has increased. In order to sign Amrabat, they would need to sell a player, and Fred has left for Fenerbahçe. Scott McTominay has also been linked with a move to West Ham. If McTominay were to be sold, United would quickly jump into the race for Amrabat.
