“We’re going to win” Flames man Butler unfazed by Game 4 loss
Butler was unfazed by the loss.
The Miami Heat lost 99-116 against the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2023 NBA Playoffs on Thursday (Feb. 24) at the Casilla Center in Miami 안전놀이터.
After a lethargic start, Boston finally fought back. Unable to counter the Jayson Tatum-led Boston offense, Miami suffered its first loss of the series in a 17-point blowout.
The Heat are still overwhelmingly favored. But given the caliber of Boston, the favorites, there’s no room for complacency. It was a game that could have been seen as a momentum swing.
However, Miami ace Jimmy Butler was unfazed, emphasizing that the team must always play with a sense of urgency and that the loss will only make Miami stronger.
“I don’t have any concerns that this loss will give the momentum to Boston,” Butler said. On the contrary, it’s going to give us more momentum knowing that we have to play with a lot more energy. We always have to play like we’re in a tight spot. Throughout the year, I think we’ve done a good job of bouncing back when we’ve been in tough situations.”
“All I’m going to say is that we’re going to be fine. We just have to do what we’ve always done to get us here. We have to keep believing in each other, knowing that we’re going to win. And then we’ll win. We just have to play harder. I don’t have much to say to the team because they already know that,” he added.
Regardless, there’s definitely room for mental faltering after a blowout loss in a playoff home game. Butler emphasized the importance of staying consistent.
“You have to be consistent,” Butler said. You have to do the same thing after every game. I don’t think you can just focus on basketball all the time. You have to take your mind off the game a little bit. It’s about how consistent you are. Me and my teammates will do the same and we will laugh. We’re going to work together for the same goal, just like we always have.”
Unlike the East, which is far from over, in the West, Denver has already clinched a spot in the Finals after four games. Will Miami be able to close out the series in Game 5 and meet Denver? Game 5 between the two teams will take place on the 26th.
