“Welcome, Tottenham, it’s your first time” ‘Second Vandyke’ in the stands…71.4 billion transfer deal agreed

Wolfsburg defender Mickey van der Vaart made his first appearance in front of Tottenham fans.

Van der Vaart traveled to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, on Sept. 6. He watched the third preseason game against Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) from the stands.

Tottenham have agreed to sign Van der Vaart from Wolfsburg for a fee of £43 million. According to the UK’s Daily Mail, van der Vaart will undergo a seven-day medical. Tottenham will officially announce the signing of Van der Vaart after the medical.

Van der Vaart has agreed to a five-year contract with Spurs. Tottenham defeated Shakhtar 5-1 on Sunday, led by Harry Kane’s four goals 메이저놀이터.

Some fans recognized Van der Vaart in his casual attire of black pants, white T-shirt, and green jacket. He shook hands with fans and posed for pictures, enjoying his first day at Spurs.

The 1.93-meter defender was born in 2001. He made his professional debut for Dutch side Volendam before moving to Wolfsburg in 2021.

He made just five appearances in his first season, but made the leap to the first team last season, making 33 Bundesliga appearances. Van der Vaart is a promising youngster for the Netherlands. He captained the U-21 national team and is touted as the next Virgil van Dijk.

His greatest strength is his speed. Van der Vaart has a top speed of 35.89 kilometers per hour in the Bundesliga. That’s the fastest pace of any center back in the Bundesliga. It’s also perfect for Postecoglou’s attacking style of soccer. He is left-footed and can play as a left fullback.

Postecoglou was reticent to comment before the official announcement. “It’s not right for me to talk about it because the contract hasn’t been completed yet, but there’s no doubt that we need reinforcement at center back. We are looking for someone who can play the kind of football we want to play,” he said. “We need a defender who can play with us in an attacking formation. Someone who can defend one-on-one and cover the space behind them really well.”
