He was still fast, covering ground all over the field, and his hitting was so fluid that it didn’t feel like he was missing a beat. After the game, Kim said, “It always feels good to win. I went down to the second team for a while and came back up, but I’m even happier to win,” he smiled.

As expected, the game went well. “I tried to do the same thing with my batting,” Kim said, “and it worked out well because I did what I thought. It’s been a long time since I’ve played, so I tried to be aggressive, and my batting went well.”

Despite his nagging hamstring injury, it wasn’t a big deal this time. “I actually didn’t think it would be too bad this time. I thought it would be fine after a day or two of rest. I didn’t go to the second team because I was in a lot of pain, so I trained right after the pain subsided,” he said, expressing confidence in his physical condition.
