Choi Won-ho ends two-game losing streak: “Jae-hoon + Eun-sung + In-hwan win with big hits when needed”

The Hanwha Eagles ended a two-game losing streak with a sweep of the SSG Landers.

Hanwha, led by Choi Won-ho, snapped a two-game losing streak with a 7-0 home win over SSG in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon on 9 September, avenging a 7-9 loss the previous day.

Starter Felix Peña earned his seventh win of the season with seven innings of three-hit ball, striking out six and walking none. He was followed by Kim Bum-soo and Lee Chung-ho, who pitched one inning each to close out the game. Choi Jae-hoon, Chae Eun-sung and Kim In-hwan stood out with home runs, while Lee Jin-young and Jeong Eun-won had two hits and Noh Si-hwan had one. 메이저놀이터순위

After the game, Choi Won-ho said, “Peña’s shutout shutout of the opposing batters was a big boost for us. The bullpen also pitched well to secure the win,” said Choi.

“Jae-hoon Choi’s first home run at the right time, Eun-sung Chae’s home run after a bad at-bat, and In-hwan Kim’s pinch-hit home run were all big hits when we needed them. I want to praise the players for their determination and focus to end the losing streak.”

Meanwhile, Hanwha will play the final series of the first half against the LG Twins at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul next week, and Choi Won-ho said, “It was the last home game of the first half, and I would like to thank the fans for coming to the ballpark despite the hot weather and giving us great support.”
