Edman’s final line was 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, one walk, and one run scored. The team had only a 14.2% chance of winning before Edman’s at-bat, but with one swing, they pulled off a thrilling upset.

A day earlier, against San Diego on the 30th, Edmon came up big. In the bottom of the 10th inning with the game tied 5-5, he hit a sinker off Hader with runners on first and third. It was the second consecutive day that the same batter made the game-winning play off the same pitcher.
